This beautiful artwork is 40 x 60cm oil primed canvas in a black floating frame which is approx 10 cm width surrounding canvas. Depth approx 5cm.

This painting is called “Golden One” as a nod to this gorgeous Golden Headed Lion Tamarin Monkey, only found in Brazil. It lives in the lowland and premontane tropical forest fragments in the state of Bahia, and therefore is considered to be an endangered species. I was drawn in by the vibrancy of this sweet and colourful monkey.
